3. Cream cheese- Soften your cream cheese ahead of time to make combining easier.

4. Freezing Advantages- Frozen packed pasta can not readily break apart.

It also has that crunchy finish. Freeze it for around 20 to 25 minutes.


Olive Garden’s Stuffed Ziti Fritta

1 box of pasta


⅓ cup of marinara sauce


●⅓ cup of Alfredo sauce


⅓ cup vegetable oil


Filling Ingredients


1/3 cup Romano cheese


⅓ cup of Parmesan


⅓ cup of ricotta


⅓ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese


1 tablespoon of chopped basil


⅓ cup of softened cream cheese


Breading ingredients

2 beaten eggs


⅓ cup of grated Parmesan


2 cups of breadcrumbs (Italian)


1 tablespoon of seasoning (Italian)





In a saucepan, add water and a tablespoon of salt and bring it to boil.


Add pasta and leave it to cook for about 15 minutes.


Drain all excess water. Leaving it with some water will leave the pasta soggy.


Gently rinse.



2.Cheese filling instructions


Put all the cheese in a bowl.


Add chopped basil.


Put the mixture in a blender and blend until it is smooth and consistent.


Pour it into a zip-top.


Place it in a refrigerator to chill.


3.Breading instructions


In a medium-sized bowl, add the beaten eggs.


Add the seasoning and whisk to form an egg wash.


In a separate bowl, put the parmesan cheese and the breadcrumbs and mix.


Get the cheese mixture from the refrigerator and cut the edge of the zip-top bag


Squeeze the cheese mixture into the pasta.


Put each stuffed pasta on a chopping board.


Dip each pasta into the egg wash.


Roll each pasta onto the bread crumb mixture until they are well covered.


Place the pasta back on the chopping board.


You may now either fry or bake your Stuffed Ziti Fratta.

Frying directions

Pour vegetable oil onto a saucepan and preheat up to 370 degrees.


Dip the stuffed pasta in the saucepan with oil.


Keep flipping until they turn golden brown on all sides.


While frying, keep them apart to avoid crowding.


Baking Directions

In a medium-sized baking tin, add a little sauce at the bottom and spread to prevent the stuffed pasta from scorching.


Toss the stuffed pasta into the baking pan.


Spread sauce on top of the pasta.


Cover using foil paper.


Preheat the oven to 345 degrees F on the middle rack.


●Bake at 345 degrees F for 20 minutes.


Storage Tips

1.In the refrigerator


If you want to store them for frying later, put them in an airtight jar to prevent any air from getting into them. Trapped air will make your stuffed pasta go bad.


If you are storing it as a leftover, let it cool first, then store it in a tightly closed jar.


For both cases, keep it refrigerated for 1 to 3 days.


2.In a freezer


If you’re preserving it as a leftover or for later frying, put it in an airtight container in the freezer for just 3 months.

I don’t advocate freezing pre-fried filled pasta since it will lose its flavor over time.
